The Office of Marketing and Communications can help you in a number of ways.

Oxy Success Stories

Have a newsworthy success story to share? We want to know about it. Our office can help promote your success story within the College’s media channels and to the outside world. Complete the form to tell us a little bit about your news and achievements.

Order Business Cards or Letterhead

Order Occidental business cards, letterhead and envelopes using our stationery request forms. We process orders on the third Friday of every month.

Request Photography Services

Have Your Event Photographed If you have an upcoming event for which you’d like the College photographer to attend to take official pictures, use the event photography request form. While we strive to capture as much of life at Oxy as we can, we take into account staff availability as well as the nature of the event in determining our coverage.

Find a Photo for Your Project The College maintains a database with thousands of images, and it’s continually growing. If you’re looking for a photo to use for a project you’re working on, email Katie Blaine.

Start a Project

Our office produces many different pieces of communication for Oxy each year. Numerous offices across campus also produce their own work. Whether our office is directly managing the project or providing strategic guidance, there are different ways we can help.

For all projects directly coordinated through our office, use this New Project Request form to get started. This short form will help us get the basic information to get started on your project.

For more complex communication projects, our office uses an additional tool called a Strategic Creative Brief. The creative brief serves as a blueprint, providing guidance for the creative team of writers and/or designers to deliver outputs that meet the desired communication objective. It highlights the strategic elements of the project, for example describing the target audience, the communication objective, key messages, intended outcomes and so forth.

Even if the project is not coordinated through our office, we encourage all offices to use the creative brief. This is a proven tool to help improve communication effectiveness. Our team can provide guidance and training on how to use the strategic creative brief.
