Hosei Maruyama '00, operations manager for the 2011 World Series champions St. Louis Cardinals.

Around here, artists are also athletes, and chemists, musicians. Future investment bankers are community activists; aspiring pastors are writers and world travelers.

Oxy exercises both your left and right brain. Theater major Kristina Gustovich '14 may go into the arts after graduation. Or she may go into the sciences--she's considering a second major in geology. 

Hosei Maruyama '00 taught for the Los Angeles Unified School District, one of the nation's toughest public school systems, for three years before doing a 180 and heading for St. Louis. There, he worked his way into a dream career as operations manager for the 2011 World Series champions St. Louis Cardinals.

Philosophy Professor Saul Traiger is a former president of the Hume Society. But it's not just all contemplating the historical and conceptual foundations of cognitive science for him. Professor Traiger is also an active member of a local ski search-and-rescue team, as well as an avid scuba diver.
