The Lauter Prize – Submit by April 10th

The Lauter Prize in Philosophy: established in 2010, in honor of Herman A. Lauter, Professor of Philosophy from 1963-1991, presented annually to the author of the best essay submitted in a philosophy class.  Papers may be from any level philosophy class and should be submitted to the department chair by April 10th.  The decision will be made by the Philosophy Department faculty as a whole.  Students may win the award more than once.  The award will be announced at the end of the spring semester and will include a cash prize of $200. Submit your paper!
