Empowerment-Based Education and Prevention
Project S.A.F.E. is committed to empowering students and the Oxy community to end all types of interpersonal and power-based violence. We believe each individual has the capacity to help others by being exactly who they are, with a little help.
What is Power-Based Violence? Need more information on what sexual violence, stalking or healthy and unhealthy behaviors look like? Project S.A.F.E. offers a variety of education and training on the dynamics and intricacies of power-based violence. Learn about statistics, healthy/unhealthy behaviors and relationships, rape culture, the impact of gender, media and masculinity in our communities, practicing consent, debunking rape myths, strategies to empower others and much more.
Being a part of the OXY community means taking the initiative to help someone in a critical situation. Through our OXY Upstander Intervention training, learn unique skills and techniques that can help you end power-based violence here on campus! Intervening is hard, we know that, empowering you to find creative ways to help is simply...what we do. Check out our Oxy Upstander curriculum and Join Our Movement.
