Application to the Major & Plan of Study Form

Students who wish to declare psychology as their major or minor are encouraged to become familiar with the basic departmental requirements and course options, found in the Course Catalog. Department faculty are available to address questions about the major itself, how it differs from other fields of study, and possible career tracks.

If you wish to major in psychology, please complete the application and submit it to the department chair. The application includes a tentative plan of study to help each student consider what the psychology major can offer him/her during and beyond the time at Occidental. Students selecting the Neuroscience Emphasis should complete the corresponding plan of study (on p. 4) instead of the general one (on p. 3).
