Card Access Help
Having problems gaining access to an area with your card after it worked before? Please read the diagnosis section below to help figure out what may be wrong with your card. To submit a Work Request for a malfunctioning card access lock please fill out the form below.
Below you will find a short guide to trouble shooting card access issues and information to help in describing the problem. Please read through this before filling out the Card Access Work Request Form at the bottom of the page.
Terminology

Hold your ID card with in four inches of the light and it will flash green and beep in most cases if you have the proper access level. | Put your card into the reader, photo towards you on the top and remove it quickly. The lights should be a steady red/green now enter your pin, then it should be the green light only and the door should open. |
Common Problems - Offline Locks
| Offline Lock Result | Solution |
| After pin red light and beeping noise | Pin was incorrect, try entering your pin again. Please see the card office if you have forgoten your pin. |
| Steady green light with flashing red light | Batteries are low! Please fill out the Work Request below as soon as possible. |
| Flashing red and green | Card is not authorized or is expired please see the card office. |
| Immediate red light before pin | Card is not authorized or is expired please see the card office. |
| Delayed red light | Card did not read properly, try swiping again. Swipe may have been too fast or too slow. Also magnetic stripe on ID may be dirty or damaged - gently clean it off, becareful not to scratch the stripe. If problem persists please see the card office. |
