Student Life & Staying Connected
Staying connected and giving back is different when you live off campus. Don't worry - the resources you used when you live off campus are still there to help.
Even when you live off campus, you're still a Tiger. You can still purchase a meal plan and eat at the Marketplace, you can still go to campus events, you can still get career advice from the CDC - you can still do everything you're used to doing, it's just a little further away. Also, keep in mind that your academic requirements and responsibilities are the same no matter where you live. Feel free to use this list of offices and services if you need help finding what you're looking for.
One piece of advice from us is to get invovled in the neighborhood or community. Oxy has been a part of Los Angeles for over 125 years, and we encourage you to continue the tradition of being a responsible citizen and giving back. Oxy has many programs that work in the surrounding area; start by contacting the Office of Community Engagement to see how you can get involved.
