Interim Suspension
Students are responsible for knowing the following:
11. The VPSA or designee may suspend a student from the College for an interim period pending disciplinary or criminal proceedings or medical evaluation. An interim suspension shall become effective immediately, without prior notice, if there is information that the student's continued presence on campus poses a substantial and immediate threat to her/himself, others, and/or the performance of normal College functions.
12. During interim suspension, a student shall be denied access to the residence halls and/or to the campus (including classes, library, and dining facilities) and/or all other College activities or privileges for which the student might otherwise be eligible, as the Office of Student Conduct administrator may determine to be appropriate.
13. The interim suspension does not delay or void the regular disciplinary process, which shall proceed on a normal schedule, up to and through a conduct hearing, if required.
14. A student on interim suspension shall be granted a hearing within ten (10) days.
