Students are responsible for knowing the following:

To reduce health, safety and damage risks, animals are prohibited in the residence halls, except for: (1) service animals (e.g., seeing-eye dogs), (2) Emotional Support Animals approved by Disability Services, (3) fish in an aquarium no larger than 5 gallons, and (4) approved pets in care of professional REHS staff in designated apartments.

Any student in possession of a prohibited animal in the residence halls will be directed to remove the animal from campus and may be subject to disciplinary action and cleaning/extermination expenses. Students or guests with visiting pets, except those described above, must remain outside the residence halls. Dogs must be leashed and have current L.A. City licenses.

No animals may be tied to a tree or any other campus structure. Owners are expected to carefully guard and clean up after their animals. Failure to do so may result in a referral to the Office of Student Conduct.
