Leadership Awards

No matter what your level of involvement on campus, your leadership efforts can be recognized. Each spring we reflect on those individuals, groups, and programs that have had a positive impact on our community.

Individual Awards

Emerging Leader of the Year - for a first year student or sophomore showing outstanding leadership potential early in her/his career

Charles W. List (1908) Memorial Award - for first year students in the top third of their class demonstrating leadership, character and personality, maturity of purpose, good citizenship and high ideals

Cynthia Cox (1972) Memorial Award - for members of the sophomore class demonstrating high scholarship, moral character, and contributions to student life and the general welfare of the College

Capstone Leader of the Year - for a student in her/his junior or senior year demonstrating capacity for impacting the Oxy community and serving as a role model to younger students

Daniel Stewart Hammack (1935) Memorial Award - for members of the junior class demonstrating high scholarship, strong moral character, and contribution to student life and the welfare of the College

Unsung Champion - for a student from any class level whose behind the scenes work has proven invaluable to the success of a project, prgram, cause, or movement

Awards Related to Clubs

Student Organization of the Year - for a student org that has consistently made positive contributions to the campus community and encouraged leadership throughout its membership

Student Org. Advisor of the Year - for a faculty or staff member who serves as an organization advisor outside of their normal duties and who provides outstanding support to the organization

Community Impact Award - for a project, campaign, initiative or movement that has worked to strengthen the relationship between Oxy and the surrounding community

Programming Awards

Community Program of the Year - in recognition of a program that exemplifies the spirit of the College pillar of Community

Equity Program of the Year - in recognition of a program that exemplifies the spirit of the College pillar of Equity

Excellence Program of the Year - in recognition of a program that exemplifies the spirit of the College pillar of Excellence

Service Program of the Year - in recognition of a program that exemplifies the spirit of the College pillar of Service
