Emerging Leaders Program

“If you have a desire to gain a deep understanding of leadership while gaining close ties to others, you should join ELP!” ~ ELP 2011 Participant

Spend a weekend off campus with other first year students exploring what it takes to become successful, active campus and community leaders.  Led by returning ELP alumni, the learning continues back on campus with 5 weekly follow up sessions through Thanksgiving Break.

In ELP, you will:

  • Develop your understanding of leadership
  • Meet other students with similar interests
  • Learn about leadership opportunities at Oxy
  • Make connections to Oxy

For 2012 we will depart from campus at 9am on Saturday, October 6 and head to Valley Trails where we will spend the weekend doing a variety of activities and discussions around leadership. We will return to campus at approximately 4pm on Sunday. What makes ELP unique is that the program doesn't end with the retreat. This year we will have one follow up meeting each week starting the week of October 8 up until Thanksgiving Break
