In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to articulate your research question, effectively search library databases, and access articles from scientific journals. Please bring your research topic and a laptop. Presenter: Jessica Blickley. Brown Learning Lab, Academic Commons. Refreshments!

Science Scholar awards are: Norris or Fletcher Jones fellowships and each pays $15k in stipends and travel/supply funds, so this is a fantastic opportunity!

3:00 pm. “Research and Citation Management Workshop.” Brown Lab, Library/Academic Commons. Presenter: Ryan Brubacher. This session will introduce best practices for managing research materials and notes and discuss several citation management tools. Zotero, a free and open source option, will be the focus with a demonstration of features and installation/set up. Participants should bring a laptop if they have one. Also, it would be helpful if attendees could try to download and install Zotero and create the online account before attending the workshop. Refreshments will be served!
