Eligibility

Eligible students are REQUIRED to attend one of the four target high schools that the Occidental Upward Bound Project serves, these schools are: Belmont, Franklin, Lincoln and Wilson high schools.

Students  MUST be currently enrolled in either the ninth or tenth grade.

In addition, eligible students are REQUIRED to meet the low income criteria as set by the U.S. Department of Education and be first generation college bound.

Also, applicants are REQUIRED to demonstrate an academic need for the Project such that a post-secondary education would be an unattainable goal without their participation in the Project.
