With more than 100 student-organized clubs, there’s a group to appeal to almost any interest, from break dancing to the stock market. Each club is organized around shared interests such as culture, sports, languages, intellectual pursuits, or political and social issues. Each fall, Club Day gives you a chance to explore your many choices – or exercise your leadership talents by organizing a new club.
Funding for clubs comes from student fees administered by the Associated Students of Occidental College. Student government oversees a number of programs, including the campus newspaper, radio station, and yearbook, the Student Activity Center, and the Bengal Bus shuttle system.
Student clubs are only part of Occidental’s extracurricular universe. You don’t have to be a music major to audition for the Occidental Glee Club, the jazz ensemble, or the orchestra, or a theater major to try out for a play. You can be a volunteer in one of our thriving student-organized outreach programs, or test your investment savvy by joining the student-run Blyth Fund.
The choice is up to you.
