Intercultural exchange is a fundamental part of the Occidental experience. One of the chief engines of this exchange is the Intercultural Community Center, which works to create an inclusive, socially responsible, cross-cultural community that extends across and beyond the campus.
The center offers programs that highlight issues of plurality, diversity, and social justice, including the annual Valuing Diversity week, Intercultural Club Affiliate Program (I.C.A.P.), Intercultural Exploration/ICC Book Club and “Taste of Oxy.” The center provides staff support and resources for student-organized cultural clubs and offers a lunchtime dialogue series, a book club, and discussion groups.
