Graduate PLUS Loans

Graduate PLUS Loans, are available in addition to Subsidized and Unsubsidized Direct Loans for graduate students whose needs are not met by these two programs. Featuring a low fixed interest rate of 7.9%, a Graduate PLUS Loan allows you to fund up to 100% of the cost of your graduate or professional education minus any financial aid that was already awarded.

To apply for the Graduate PLUS Loan you must complete an online application at www.studentloans.gov. If you are approved you will need to complete a Graduate PLUS Master Promissory Note and online entrance counseling. If you had borrowed a Graduate PLUS in the prior year you will not need to complete a new MPN and online entrance counseling.
