Cost of Attendance
While quality is not inexpensive, we are firmly committed to assisting you in making an Oxy education affordable.
- More than 75% of our students receive financial aid through scholarships, work-study, and student loans.
- Each year, we award 12 different types of merit scholarships ranging from $5,000 annually to full coverage of tuition & fees, and room & board.
- We enroll more low-income students than almost any other nationally ranked liberal arts college.
- Roughly 19% of each first-year class is made up of students who are the first person in their family to attend college.
All qualified students interested in attending Occidental should apply for financial aid, regardless of family financial circumstances and/or ability to meet college costs. Our aid programs often make our costs comparable to those of public institutions.
