Study Abroad

The International Programs Office (IPO) serves as a resource center for students seeking off-campus programs and students are encouraged to visit the IPO in Weingart 101 to access the full range of resources available, in addition to this website.

Occidental College offers forty study abroad programs throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and Oceania. Students seeking a unique academic opportunity domestically may apply to study on Oxy's own United Nations Program in New York.

More than one-third of each class studies abroad for one semester. The College is committed to offering equal access to off-campus study opportunities and therefore charges the same fees for a semester off-campus as for a semester spent at Oxy, while extending all financial aid for the duration of the student’s program.

Off-Campus Study is competitive and students should read information on eligibility and specific program prerequisites carefully. Minimally qualified applicants may not be approved.
