Congratulations on being accepted by Occidental College to study off-campus! After you have submitted the signed copy of your acceptance letter and the Waiver & Release, signed by both you and your parent/guardian, you become a participant. Once you become a participant, what do you need to do next?
►Mark your calendar for both mandatory orientations:
General Orientation Wednesday, March 26, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. in Mosher 1
Program-Specific Orientation March 24 – 28, 75-minute meetings, times TBA
►Obtain a valid passport
If you do not have a passport valid for six months beyond the date of your return to the US, apply for or renew your passport immediately. The US Passport Office is experiencing delays of four to twelve weeks. See the following links for more information: Passports & Embassies, Visas.
►Submit the following Participation Forms which are due in the International Programs Office:

Health Report
Contact Emmons at X2657 or your personal health care provider to schedule an appointment to complete your Health Report immediately as appointments fill quickly. Your program sponsor may also require a completed medical report. After you have been accepted by your program sponsor, you should contact them about this prior to your medical appointment to enable you to complete both forms, if necessary, during one physician’s visit.
