Staying Involved On Campus

•  If you had a rewarding semester abroad and want to share your experience with other students, then become a Returning Student Volunteer with the IPO.  We are always looking for returnees to help us with small group orientation sessions, Oxy new student open house, ‘How to Succeed in Study Abroad’ information sessions and much, much more.

• To find more information on marketing your experience or if your interested in an international career, contact the Career Development Center in the Administrative Building - bottom floor.

•  You can also stay connected with your host country, culture and language through the many programs, resources and opportunities offered by the Keck Language Studio. Contact Michelle Baca in Johnson Hall room 310A or at (323) 259-2843 for more information.

•  Another way of staying connected is by meeting our new international and exchange students.  These students are a great way to stay connected with your host country language.  If you are interested in setting-up a language partner program please contact the IPO.

•  Office of Student Life is also a great resource for cultural activities, clubs and organizations; many of which are international or intercultural in scope.  If you are interested in joining a club or starting your own, contact Justin Gerboc in the Johnson Student Center or at (323) 259-2918.

•  The Center for Community-Based Learning is a wonderful resource for information on tutoring, mentoring and volunteering in and around the Eagle Rock area as well as student run community-based learning projects.  General contact-ccbl@oxy.edu.edu or (323) 259-2904.
