Art History and the Visual Arts

The Department of Art History and the Visual Arts assists students in developing their own creative ability and understanding of film and the visual arts. Students may choose an emphasis in either studio art, film and video art, or the history of art. A broad range of courses is offered covering the history of Asian and Western art and film, and studio classes in drawing, design, painting, sculpture, printmaking, papermaking, film and video.
