Geology

The Geology curriculum is designed to provide a sound background in the geological sciences, the study of the earth and other planets. Students engage in both laboratory and field work. Geological observations and theory are combined with chemical, physical, biological, and mathematical techniques to understand the processes acting on earth today, to decipher its 4.5 billion-year history, and to predict the future of global change.
