Message subjects are grouped in three categories for viewing convenience: (1) Student & Club Announcements; (2) Academic & Administrative Department Announcements; (3) Miscellaneous Announcements
The fabulous Office of Student Life moderates the Digest. If you have any concerns about your message, please email stulife@oxy.edu.
When sending an email to oxy.students@oxy.edu, make sure your Subject line is the Subject you want posted in the Digest. The body of your message should be what you want to have posted in the Digest. We cannot edit your message, so if you write "Please post this in the Digest" at the beginning of your message, that will be posted in the Digest along with your message.
Please use plain text. The program will strip any cool font, color, or picture, so don't use them! The program attempts to change HTML formatted messages into plain text. It is usually successful, but if it cannot, you will get a message back.
Don't include attachments, as they are not included.
Please spell check your message before you send it. Again, we cannot edit your message!
Most messages are approved. There are some reasons why we do not approve messages:
There may be other reasons we do not approve your message, such as when it violates another policy or procedure. We will tell you why it is not approved.
You may cancel your own message if you made a mistake in it. Before you send a new message with the correction, reply to the message letting you know you're waiting for Moderator approval with Cancel in the body.
If you are using Internet Explorer to access Webmail, you cannot click the links in the Digest to see a message. However, if you use Mozilla Firefox, the links should work.
