Since OxyEngage is a fee based program, we never know exactly how many people will be on each trip. So we need to wait to see how many people are attending before we can start booking locations, tours, and transportation. We spend the summer scouring the city for new and unique locations and experiences for the trip, as a result the itineraries are always evolving and changing! We will share with you a day by day schedule when you get to campus for move in, when we know it is as complete and comprehensive as possible!
OxyEngage 2011 will take place on August 24-August 26. OxyEngage participants will be allowed to move into their residence halls on August 23, 2011. Please do not make travel arrangements until your registration has been confirmed.
If you register for OxyEngage it is understood that you will participate in all activities. Scheduled activities begin with dinner on August 23rd and conclude with the closing banquet on August 26. Please do not make any plans during this time!
You'll have to check with your coach. Typically our athletes arrive back to campus early for try-outs and practices, making participation in OxyEngage not possible.
OxyEngage is billed to your student account. Students who are registered for OxyEngage will see "OxyEngage" on their first bill from the college, which will be available to view July 15. For more information about your student bill, please visit Student Business Services.
A limited amount of need-based scholarships was available, but unfortunately we have exhausted all of our resources for financial aid.
Participants who cancel their trip by July 1 will have the charge removed from their student account. After July 1, student account charges will be removed only if vacated spots are filled by those on a waiting list. No account charges will be removed after August 1. If, in the event that the Office of Student Life staff needs to move participants from their preferred trip to another offering and they are not interested, we will provide an opportunity for them to cancel such trip and remove the charge from their student account.
We understand that you will be traveling from near and far to come to campus early for these trips. Please be sure to wait for confirmation from our office about your acceptance into the program and the trip that you will be attending before you make your trip plans.
