A fellow of the American Academy in Rome, Frank’s academic expertise is in Italian Renaissance art.
Heffernan teaches all levels of sculpture, installation, and hybrid studio/theory courses in photography and visual culture. Her art practice reflects this range of interests, incorporating photography, video, installation, sculpture, and writing to explore corporeality and its relation to images, words, and other representations.
Lyford is the author of Surrealist Masculinities: Gender Anxiety and the Aesthetics of Post-World War I Reconstruction in France (2007).
Yuhas’s research interests include the nature of topographical painting in the Chinese literary tradition, and the transformation of Buddhism and Buddhist art as they spread from India to Central Asia, Tibet, China, and Japan.
