Samantha Rocha talks about her experiences as an Oxy student and how her personal journey has been influenced by the game of golf.
Samantha is majoring in biology (with a Cell and Molecular emphasis) and has a minor in kinesiology. Originally from Downey, Calif., she has served as director of Women and Youth Supporting Each Other (WYSE) club and co-president of Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS) club. A three-year co-captain of the Oxy golf team, she recently tied for first place in the Whittier Invitational, took third place at the UC Santa Cruz Invitational, and has the team's lowest scoring average. She finished out an outstanding college golf career by placing in the top 20 at the 2019 SCIAC Championships with a three-round score of 248.
