Michael Christopher Sardo is a political theorist who researches and teaches in the history of political thought, environmental politics, and American politics. His research focuses on questions of political responsibility for complex structural injustices where our ordinary frameworks of responsibility are inadequate. He has published research on political responsibility in the context of climate change, global financial crises, and the history of political thought. His current research projects include an analysis of the idea of a "just transition" in climate change discourse and the implications of the Anthropocene for political theory.
