Occidental Children’s Theater is an exciting hour of storytelling full of movement, jokes and audience interaction. The cast of 6 are not just the characters in the three folk tales and one made up story, but they are the set, props, and everything else! This is very physical theater involving lifting (and being lifted), tumbling, jumping, and whatever else the story requires. Movement Coach, Nick Erickson will work with the cast in intensive movement training at the start of rehearsals.
Actors also teach in the Summer Institute of Fun, an acting camp for children. SIoF runs for four weeks beginning July 13 from 12:30pm to 4pm or 5:15pm. Both are paid positions.
Auditions: Sunday, April 5 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm in the Keck Theater Rehearsal Room, be prepared to stay the entire time. Individual Auditions for Children’s Theater will begin at 2:30pm followed by group auditions. This schedule is subject to change.
Callbacks: Scheduled according to everyone’s availability.
