Renato Rocha is an Economic Policy Analyst in UnidosUS’ (formerly National Council of La Raza) Office of Research, Advocacy, and Legislation. He conducts analysis of consumer protection, budget, tax, disaster relief, and labor issues that impact the economic wellbeing of Latino and immigrant communities. Recent publications examine Latinos’ status across a range of indicators and geographies to help lawmakers and advocates better understand how far the Latino community has come since the Great Recession, what is at stake for the nation and state’s economic future if policies and protections are rolled back, and what more can be done to ensure that Latinos and all Americans continue to advance their economic security.
Renato holds a Master in Public Affairs from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and a B.A. in Politics from Occidental College. Renato is the son and grandson of Mexican immigrants to the United States.
