You're invited to Kickstart Oxy!
Hi Incoming Tigers!
As we eagerly await the start of the academic year, the Office of Student Life, Involvement and Community Engagement (SLICE) invites you to participate in our Kickstart Oxy Program happening on July 26 and July 27!
Kickstart Oxy is a 2-day virtual experience—in addition to Orientation— that aims to familiarize you with Oxy’s support systems, services and student resources.
You will be welcomed by Senior Administration as they relay their own expectations of, and role in, student success at Oxy. We will cover topics ranging from First Year Seminars to the Community Book Program. During this time, students will also complete their placement tests and engage with campus resource centers including The Hameetman Career Center and Emmons Wellness Center. Special sessions will be held for First Gen and Transfer Students.
Kickstart Oxy exists to make your transition to Oxy as smooth as possible, with opportunities to engage with staff, faculty and peers before New Student Orientation begins on August 23.
You can access a more in-depth look at Kickstart Oxy here, under the "Kickstart Oxy | Online Summer Sessions" tab towards the bottom of the page.
We look forward to seeing you at Kickstart Oxy and Orientation!
