Mike Rocha has been performing and teaching for over two decades. In that time, he has toured the world, performed alongside some of the worlds most talented musicians, recorded on platinum selling albums, and recorded on movie soundtracks. Rocha co-leads the Lappitt-Rocha septet which performs original jazz compositions all over Los Angeles. He has also performed with the John Daversa Big Band, Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band, the Geoff Stradling Large Ensemble, the Miguel Atwood-Ferguson Ensemble, the Alan Chan Big Band, and the Vardan Ovsepian chamber ensemble. Rocha currently directs the jazz program at Mt. San Jacinto Community College, teaches trumpet at El Camino Community College and Occidental College, and is an acting brass coach at Harvard-Westlake High School.
