Rob joined Occidental College in July of 2017 as the Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students. He is native of Illinois. Rob earned his BA in psychology, his master’s in clinical psychology from Eastern Illinois University, and completed Ph.D. coursework in counseling psychology from Indiana State University. Rob came to Oxy from Lake Forest College, near Chicago – where he served as its Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students for nine years. Rob has been working in student affairs for nearly three decades, spending about 10 years at a university counseling center, then working as the director of an intercultural relations office for a number of years, before moving into the VPSA/DOS role. Rob is married and has three sons, his middle son graduated from Oxy in 2021.
