Program Coordinator & Prevention Education Specialist, Interim Survivor Advocate, Project S.A.F.E.

Tirzah Blanche is the Program Coordinator & Prevention Education Specialist at Project SAFE and also serves as the Interim Survivor Advocate on campus. As the Program Coordinator & Prevention Education Specialist, she oversees all the prevention, education, and awareness-raising activities on Occidental’s campus related to sexual and interpersonal violence. They are a California Certified Counselor-Advocate and holds a Masters in Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where they studied sexual violence prevention in higher education. Tirzah comes from an advocacy background, previously having worked for three years as a legal and medical advocate at a rape crisis center in Chicago, IL. She is passionate about effective prevention programming and creating spaces for meaningful dialogue about consent and healthy relationships. Originally from the Bay Area, they are excited to be part of the Project SAFE team and work to make Oxy a safer and more responsive place for everyone.
