Physics Department Statement of Solidarity and Support
Partial Solar Eclipse
On Saturday, October 14th, 2023, physics faculty and staff set up a telescope outside the Hameetman Science Center to witness the partial solar eclipse. Students, staff, and members of the local community of Eagle Rock got a chance to see this celestial event through the telescope and solar eclipse glasses. Through a special lens for his camera, Dr. Dan Snowden-Ifft got to take some fascinating, unique pictures of the partial eclipse.
