Oxy Arts is the community-based arts hub of Occidental College.

Programming Updates

We're thrilled to invite you to in-person events and gatherings when we reopen this fall.

This summer, resident artists will be developing virtual works as part of our Encoding Futures: Speculative Monuments for L.A. virtual residency.

Our space is open for community through COMMUNITY HALL—we offer open, flexible programmatic space, free of charge, to artists, community members and local projects.

View documentation of our Spring 2021 exhibition, Carolina Caycedo: Care Report, view our past programming section for recordings of past events, and access our arts education lesson plans for youth, families and educators.

About Oxy Arts

Oxy Arts is a vital public space bringing together the campus community, the Northeast Los Angeles community, and local and regional artists in socially conscious dialogue and engagement. We seek to share, connect and hold space for ideas and curiosity. You are welcome here.

Oxy Arts programs across mediums—film, visual art, performance, writing and music. It also serves as a gateway to Oxy’s five academic arts majors and minors: Art & Art History, Interdisciplinary Writing, Media Arts & Culture, Music, and Theater.

Oxy Arts occupies the ancestral, traditional, and contemporary Lands of the Tongva people. [what is land acknowledgment?]
