New Oxy Arts building on York

Oxy Arts is Occidental College’s community art center located in Highland Park, one block south of campus.

The Oxy Arts gallery remains closed due to the pandemic. Follow us on Instagram for the latest updates. Visit the Current and Upcoming Programmming page for information about off site events during Summer 2021. All events and programming are free and open to the public.

We do not have dedicated parking, but you are welcome to park along York Boulevard or side streets. We share our space with a residential neighborhood; please respect our neighbors, be aware of private driveways and mindful of noise levels when walking to and from your car. Please look for and follow posted parking signs. Parking is limited; please consider carpooling, using ride share services, or taking public transportation.

Public Transportation
Train: We are a 30 minute (1.7 mile) walk from the Highland Park Gold Line station at Ave 58 / Marmion Way.
Bus: the Metro Local Line 83 stops in front of our building on the corner of York Blvd / Armadale Ave. Please check the Line 83 Metro Schedule before planning your trip.

Accessibility Info

The Oxy Arts center has been built as an ADA compliant facility. We have a dedicated entrance with a 36” wide entry door and a wheelchair accessible restroom with a handrail. There is no reserved handicap parking, but public parking is available alongside our entrance.

All of our restrooms are gender neutral.

If you or someone you know require language interpretation, ASL interpretation, or have any other access needs or questions, please contact at least one week in advance of the program or visit and we will do our best to provide accommodations.
