The Library at the Academic Commons is the place where expertise and resources—human, print, electronic, spatial, and technological—come together. It is a primary node in Oxy's intellectual network, staffed by research/resource savvy professionals. If you can’t find it here, they’ll track it down for you through Oxy’s extensive consortial arrangements (and sometimes magic).
Wired learning spaces and online classrooms create opportunities for interactive lessons. Open-access publishing puts the whole of Oxy’s knowledge and ideas at your fingertips. Over 100 years of Oxy history live within the library’s archives alongside its special collections, which include rare books and artifacts.
Oxy's Center for Digital Liberal Arts helps the campus use and interrogate the latest digital technologies, with the ultimate purpose of encouraging rigorous undergraduate research across the curriculum and expanding student scholarly literacies.
The Academic Commons is ever-evolving, but is currently where you can find the Library, Center for Digital Liberal Arts, Writing Center, Information Technology Services, Undergraduate Research Center, Community Literacy Center, Disability Services, and a host of Peer Learning Programs.
