Education: B.S. University of Wisconsin, Ph.D University of Michigan

Professor Zellmer's research focuses on how ecological processes shape genetic structure within and among populations. In particular, she is interested in the consequences of human-mediated environmental alterations on evolutionary patterns. Professor Zellmer investigates these processes using the integrative approach of conservation genetics, combining molecular tools, experimental data, field surveys, and geographic information systems data.
