Centered primarily on historical figures both infamous and obscure, her plays have been seen throughout Los Angeles, at alternative venues in New York, Chicago, Seattle, Phoenix, Minneapolis, and recently on tour throughout The Netherlands and Belgium. A variety of awards and commendations include “best writing” and “best production” nods from the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle, the Los Angeles Times, the LA Weekly, and Back Stage West. In addition to her work as a member of theater faculty Occidental College, she is guest lecturer at the USC School of Theater and has taught classes in writing and ensemble performance at Cal Arts, the Ojai Playwrights Conference, Cal State L.A. and A.S.K. Theatre Projects. She is the recent recipient of a MAP Fund grant from the Rockefeller Foundation and has received repeated grants and commissions from the Mark Taper Forum, the Flintridge Foundation, and the City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department.
