Information Technology Services supports the mission of the college by providing software and hardware, supporting classroom technology, troubleshooting computing issues, offering technology training, and maintaining mission-critical infrastructure, such as campus wireless, networks, servers, and data systems.

Top 5 Questions

To connect, choose ONet as your wireless network on your device. You will be prompted to log in with either your Oxy credentials or a personal email / phone number. All Oxy community members should log in with their username (not email address—do not include @oxy.edu) and password and will have full access to all Oxy and internet resources. The other options are for guests who do not have Oxy accounts and network access will be limited to just the internet; if you register as a guest you will not be able to print to Oxy printers. Oxy community members will be required to register each of their devices yearly.  Guests will need to register every three days.

Troubleshoot iOS connections (e.g., iPhones, iPads) and smart devices (e.g., gaming systems, chromecasts, Alexa, etc.)

Beginning July 2023, printing software will change.

Employees with Oxy Issued Computers  will be notified by email with instructions when their office receives new software to their Oxy-issued computers. More information can be found on our help page: Papercut for Oxy Issued Computers.

The Oxy community has access to Google Workspace, Zoom Pro, Microsoft Office 365, and Sophos, all by logging in with your Oxy credentials. Adobe Creative Cloud is available to students in designated courses and via the oMac Lab and Creative Stations outside of the ITS offices.

Academic software is provided via the virtual computer lab (Stata, SPSS, ArcGIS, Matlab, Mathematica). View instructions on accessing the virtual computer lab.

We recently moved to Google Groups for most Oxy mailing lists. To locate your groups and manage your preferences, go to groups.google.com while logged in with your oxy.edu account. If you are a list owner, check out these instructions for managing your membership
