OxyAccess

This allows you to remotely access files on your network G: and H: drives as well as connect directly to your PC computer on campus if you need access to software installed on your local machine.  You can view, edit, upload, and download files from the Windows explorer directory within 2x. 

How to Set Up 2x for the PC

  1. Determine if your version of Windows is 32 or 64 bit by going to Start \ right clicking on Computer \ go to Properties and look for System Type.
  2. Download and run 2x for PC 32 or 2x for PC 64 depending on your system type.
  3. Install the 2x_PC.msi file using the default options.
  4. If prompted for RDP upgrade choose Yes.
  5. Launch 2x client.
  6. Sign in using your Oxynet username and password.
  7. To connect to your campus PC, double-click Remote Desktop.
  8. Enter the PC's Oxy ID (for example, OXY1234) in the Computer field.
  9. Click Connect.

How to Set Up 2x for the Mac

  1. Download 2x for Mac.
  2. Double-click the 2X_Mac.dmg icon.
  3. Double-click the 2X Client.pkg icon.
  4. Click the Continue button.
  5. Click the Continue button.
  6. Click the Agree button.
  7. Click the Install button.
  8. Enter your computer password in the Password field.
  9. Click the OK button (or Install Software button in OS X 10.7).
  10. Click the Close button.
  11. Launch 2x by double-clicking the 2x Client icon in the Applications folder.
  12. Click the Add button to create a new connection. If a connection already exists, click the Connection Properties button to change it.
  13. Type 2xa.oxynet.oxy.edu in the Primary Connection field.
  14. Leave the Secondary Connection field blank.
  15. Set the Connection Mode to SSL Mode
  16. Set the Port to 443.
  17. Type Oxy in the Alias field.
  18. Type your Oxy username and password in the Username and Password fields respectively.
  19. Type oxynet in the Domain field.
  20. Click the OK button.
  21. To connect to your campus PC, double-click Remote Desktop.
  22. Enter the PC's Oxy ID (for example, OXY1234) in the Computer field.
  23. Click Connect.

How to Set Up 2x on your mobile device

  1. Download the 2x app.
  2. Use 2xa.oxynet.oxy.edu in the Primary Connection or Address field.
  3. Use Gateway SSL Mode (if this mode does not exist for the app you're using, use SSL Mode).
  4. Set the Port to 443.
  5. Type Oxy in the Alias field.
  6. Type your Oxy username and password in the Username and Password fields respectively.
  7. Type Oxynet in the Domain field if this field exists for the app you're using.
