Join the Writing Center for their annual Write-In event on Sunday!
The write-in is an event that brings student writers together and offers them support for their writing process. Write-ins can alleviate the isolation of writing alone, help us work through procrastination (our theme this year is "Procrastination Pushback"), and help foster a campus writing community. The Oxy Write-In takes place in the Writing Center and in the adjacent classroom LIB 3: both are located on the ground floor of the Academic Commons.
What happens during the write-in?
Writers are welcome to work on their own or alongside friends, and can sign up for a session with one of the peer Writing Advisers or faculty at the Write-In. If a writer does not need a full Writing Center session, they can still join the Write-In. Faculty and student Writing Advisers will circulate to answer quick questions about assignments, drafts, or any stage of the writing process (even just talking through a prompt or brainstorming ideas). We will also have excellent snacks to help keep us energized as we write!
