Julia Mackin-McLaughlin

Julia earned her B.S. in Marine Science from the University of Maine, where she developed a keen interest in marine subtidal invertebrates. Her passion for subtidal kelps and marine ecology developed while studying the distribution of benthic flora and fauna in Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, for her MS in Geography. Starting in 2023, she works with the VRG as a Research Associate. Her work focuses on bathymetric mapping, annual Chevron surveys, and a whole lot of diving.
