Campus Safety
Your safety is our priority.
The primary concern of the Campus Safety Department is keeping students safe in a big city environment. Campus Safety Officers are on patrol 24 hours a day to respond to any incidents, provide safety escorts when necessary, and to enforce mandated College policies.
Buildings are equipped with card access systems to impede intruders, and blue-light emergency phones are strategically placed throughout the campus so that a student is never too far from help.
Our Office also oversees campus parking, fingerprinting and assists students when they need help—from jumpstarting a vehicle to providing transportation for injured students.
We partner with other Departments on campus to support Oxy’s Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans as well as Crime Prevention Programs, that help give students, faculty, staff, and families peace of mind.
