Sharla Fett

Fett teaches courses on early North America, including the American Revolution, Women and Community Health, and Slavery in the Antebellum South.

She specializes in African-American history and the histories of race, medicine, and enslavement in the antebellum U.S. She is researching the politics of slavery and freedom in the 19th-century Atlantic slave trade.
