This summer we've had to change our calendar a bit to fit the schedule of our local school districts. We are only offering 4 weeks of the Summer Institute of Fun but we will still have morning sessions for younger kids and our special session for older children in August.

MORNING SESSIONS FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN

We  have  4 weeks of classes for children 6 to 8 years old. They must meet the minimum age requirement by June 1, 2013. No exceptions.

Session A: July 15 to July 19 SOLD OUT
Session B: July 22 to July 26
Session C: July 29 to August 2
Session D: August 5 to August

Sessions run from 9:00am to 11:30am Monday through Friday in Keck Theater. Children may be picked up during supervised mat time between 11:30am and 12:30pm.

We expect these to fill up fast so sign up early!

Fees for the morning sessions:
$150.00 one session
$280.00 two sessions (saves $20)
$410.00 three sessions (saves $40.00)
$520.00 four sessions (saves $80.00)
10% discount for siblings (oldest child pays full price, each additional sibling gets the discount).

AFTERNOON SESSIONS FOR OLDER CHILDREN

In the afternoon are classes for older children. Sessions 1 to 3 are for children 8 to 13 years old and session 4 is our special session for 11 to 15 year olds. Children must meet the minimum age requirement by June 1, 2013. No exceptions.

Session 1: July 15 to July 19
Session 2: July 22 to July 26
Session 3: July 29 to August 2
Session 4: August 5 to August 9 (for 11-15 year olds only)

Sessions run from 1:00pm to 4:00pm in Keck Theater. Students may be picked up during supervised mat time between 4:00pm and 5:15pm.

Fees for the afternoon sessions:
$175.00 one session
$330.00 two sessions (saves $20)
$485.00 three sessions (saves $40.00)
$620.00 four sessions (saves $80.00)

ALL SESSIONS, BOTH MORNING AND AFTERNOON, INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

• Dynamic physical theater
• Group improvisation
• Basic movement techniques
• Positive and fun learning environment
• Free t-shirt
• Each week culminates with an informal folktale performance
• Individual attention is guaranteed by limited enrollment with a teacher/student ratio of approximately 1:7
• Taught by OCT trained actors under the direction of Occidental Children's Theater Artistic Director and Oxy professor Jamie Angell

STUFF TO KNOW BEFORE YOU SIGN UP 

As the children will be moving around a lot, they should dress comfortably (no jeans, skirts or restrictive clothing) and bring water and a light snack.

All sessions are indoors in Keck Theater at Occidental College. You can find directions at Oxy's website. Parking is located next to the theater.

Sibling Discount: If siblings are attending both morning and afternoon sessions, the oldest child pays full price, each additional sibling gets the discount.

Cancellation Policy: You will receive a full refund if you cancel up to two weeks prior to the start of your session. From two weeks to one week prior, you will receive 75% of the fee and from one week to the Friday before your session begins you will receive 50% of the fee. No refunds will be granted after the Friday prior to the start of your session.

Minimum Age: Your child must meet the minimum age requirement by June 1, 2013. No exceptions.
