Re-applying for Aid
Save the date! March 2nd is our annual deadline to re-apply for financial aid.
Students must re-apply for financial aid by our deadlines in order to be considered on time. Students who apply late risk not receiving institutional financial aid.
Applications are reviewed between May and June for all returning students. Award letters are e-mailed by July to the student's Oxy e-mail address and the parent e-mail address (as provided on the FAFSA).
Use this checklist* to keep track of what you need to submit.
Your FAFSA is partially completed from the information you submitted last year. Update the information, sign it, and submit it. Remember to list Oxy, federal school code #001249.
Complete this online application through your myOxy web portal, it only takes minutes.
Have your custodial parent(s) download and complete the Parent Supplement* and submit it to our office by mail, fax, or e-mail.
After you and your custodial parent(s) have filed taxes, submit copies to our office as well via mail, fax, or e-mail.
What Happens Next?
Once your file is complete, we will review the information you provided. If anything else is required after a review of your file, we will notify you via e-mail. After we finalize our review of your file, we will e-mail your award letter. Award letters are e-mailed by early July to the student's Oxy e-mail address and the parent e-mail address that was provided on the FAFSA.
