On January 28, Talking Books will present its inaugural Greg Critser ’80 Memorial Series event with a celebration of the author’s work. Greg Critser, Occidental College '80, was an American writer on medicine, science, food and health. His work has appeared in periodicals ranging from the New York Times to the Times of London, and from Harper's to the New Yorker and is the author of the award-winning Generation Rx: How Prescription Drugs are Altering American Minds, Lives and Bodies. His final book, Eternity Soup: Inside the Quest to End Aging, was published in January 2010.

The event begins at 5:00pm and will include readings from the late author's work, a panel discussion on "Science writing and understanding your audience", special exhibits and refreshments.
