Oxy's faculty come from all over the map, both geographically and intellectually.

Our faculty are committed teachers, dedicated mentors, and engaged scholars. They bring Oxy’s distinctive multicultural and interdisciplinary curriculum to life, helping students understand how knowledge is created.

Our professors come to Oxy with a collective body of work that's incredibly diverse, on topics from food justice to the boundaries between orthodoxy and heresy to the fourth state of matter. What they get from Oxy is an environment where great research informs great teaching, the stimulation of living in one of the world's most exciting cities, and access to some of the country's most talented and thoughtful undergraduates.

Our 9:1 student/faculty ratio means that students get to know professors very well during their time here, in many cases working alongside Oxy professors on research and creative performance.
