Prepared for success

Oxy combines the liberal arts and sciences with the cultural and intellectual resources of Los Angeles to produce graduates who are problem-solvers, strategic thinkers and effective communicators, ready for real-world challenges. Our graduates are innovating in biotech, writing screenplays, working for Fortune 500 firms, coding for startups, and helping to make the world a better place. Wherever you want to go—business, the nonprofit world, medicine or law—your four years at Oxy will serve as a springboard to success.

Hameetman Career Center

The Hameetman Career Center (HCC) is where your career exploration begins, offering advising in three main areas: career services, national and international fellowships, and pre-health advising. Attend a workshop, have an adviser review a job or grad school application, or do a mock job interview. The HCC sponsors more than 200 events annually, ranging from career education seminars to alumni talks and on-campus recruiting.

A student-centered approach

Our team of career experts provides you with personalized attention beginning your first year, helping you connect classroom learning with career-building opportunities before and after graduation. From one-on-one career counseling to information about research opportunities and grants in Los Angeles and beyond, our advisers will help you clarify your goals for life after Oxy and develop strategies to achieve them.
